Damn straight I did. Barely.

And so I'm going to close this journal. Not delete it, I just won't be updating it anymore. Not until next year at least. This was a lot of fun. I hope I can get other people to join next year to blog for THEIR favorite charity.

If you would like to read my private journal, drop me a line at

Thanks, and see ya next year!

Last Post

Ten things I’ve learned from Blogathon 2007.

10. I’m not nearly as young as I used to be.
9. Salads at 3 AM are NOT a good idea.
8. The Human Stain is not a good movie to watch when you’re already exhausted.
7. Sitting in a computer chair for almost 24 hours is not comfortable.
6. I’m somehow even clumsier when I’m tired.
5. Sunrises are pretty cool.
4. mysticrealm is an awesome friend.
3. Making new friends rocks.
2. My dog is incredibly loyal.
1. You really can do anything if you put your mind to it.

Will I do this again? Most definitely.

Thank yous Pt. 2

And more thank yous. The two most important to me.

Thanks mysticrealm for being my personal cheerleader for most of yesterday and this morning. Couldn’t have done it without you. For real. Don’t worry about falling asleep. You’re just smarter than me for not putting yourself through this hell!!! But seriously though, thanks a lot.

Last, but certainly never least, Lauren. The thought of you is what has kept me going for so long. Anytime I thought of giving up, I thought of all your pain and suffering, and how you quietly and sweetly endured it. You never stopped smiling. If you could do that, then I could certainly stay up for 24 hours to help someone else. Thanks for looking over my shoulder all night. I needed it.

Thank Yous Pt. 1

Right. Time for thank yous. I’m starting them now, because by the time 9 AM gets here, my butt is crashing.

Thanks again to all my sponsors. You guys are awesome. I raised $228.30 for the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Sweet. I realize half of you will never read this, but that’s ok. That’s not really the point of all this. Or is it? I don’t even know anymore. I'll let you know when I don't feel like I've been run over by a forklift.

Thanks to hubby for taking over for a bit. And getting me food. And checking up on me every now and then. I think you’re going to have to make dinner tonight…

Thanks to Jaynee, my monitor. You’re an awesome cheerleader, and I enjoyed reading your blog all night.

To all my fellow bloggers: you guys are incredible. I really enjoyed this a LOT. For all you B schedulers, good luck. To everyone who finishes, awesome. To those who couldn’t make it all the way through, don’t sweat it. This was NOT easy by any means.

Yeah…more in a bit. I’m starving…

No more naps. It's getting harder to wake up.

I realize I haven't posted anything of substance for the past several hours. Oh well.

Almost done!

(no subject)

And I took yet ANOTHER power nap. This time me and Fizzy crammed onto the couch and napped. Actually, I was the only one crammed. How a 25 pound dog managed to take up half the couch is a mystery...

Took another power nap. I NEEDED that. I wouldn't have been able to finish without it.

Forgot to thank my mommy for sponsoring me. Thanks mom. Even though you'll probably never read this because no matter how many times I've explained this to you, you still don't get it. That's ok. I still heart you.

Do people REALLY enjoy getting up this early? UGH! No thank you.

I'm cheating a bit. I'm posting lyrics of my current favorite song. It's called "There's Hope" by India.Arie. Great song, and the lyrics couldn't be more true.

[Verse 1:]
Back when I had a little
I thought that I needed a lot
A little was over rated,
but a lot was a little too complicated
You see-Zero didn't satisfy me
A million didn't make me happy
That's when I learned a lesson
That it's all about your perception
Hey-are you a pauper or a superstar
So you act, so you feel, so you are
It ain't about the size of your car
It's about the size of the faith in your heart

There's hope
It doesn't cost a thing to smile
You don't have to pay to laugh
You better thank God for that

There's hope

[Verse 2:]
Off in the back country of Brazil
A met a young brother that made me feel
That I could accomplish anything.
You see just like me he wanted to sing
He had no windows and no doors
He lived a simple life and was extremely poor
On top of all of that he had no eye sight,
but that didn't keep him from seein' the light
He said, what's it like in the USA,
and all I did was complain
He said-livin' here is paradise
He taught me paradise is in your mind
You know that

Every time I turn on the T.V. (There's Hope)
Somebody's acting crazy (There's Hope)
If you let it, it will drive you crazy (There's Hope)
but I'm takin' back my power today (There's Hope)
Gas prices they just keep on rising (There's Hope)
The government they keep on lying
but we gotta keep on surviving
Keep living our truth and do the best we can do

Stand up for your rights [echo]
Keep shining your light [echo]
And show the world your smile [echo]

To all the random people popping in and out of my journal making comments, thanks. I can't really form a coherent thought right now to reply. But I appreciate you cheering me on.

I'm exhausted, but this has been a REALLY cool experience.

Now where the hell is the sun?!?

(and why is "delirious" not an option for LJs mood themes?)
